Augmenting the Quality of Community Schools, a program for quality enhancements

 

 

Pinnacle Social Welfare Foundation is dedicated to serve community schools to improve quality in education. There are two types of schools in our country Nepal: community, state funded and private; In the country side and even the urban areas, economically disadvantaged students study. Some of the village children are not getting opportunities to go to schools for education. The community schools are poorly managed.

The head teachers, teachers and management committee might need training and workshop to develop the quality. Needs proper care to the children. Parents and guardians need awareness programs on different issues: health and sanitation, safety and security and importance of school education. Drop out from schools is common in municipalities. The reason is poor economic status and unaware of the importance of school education. In some communities early marriage is common.

 

Pinnacle Social welfare foundation has been working with community schools to improve their quality in Ward No. 1, 2 and 3 of Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality of Dhading District of Nepal for last 10 months. The schools need a lot of support to maintain good learning environment. The children are not given proper care, teachers are not aware of their responsibilities, the guardians and parents are indifferent on children progress. As a result students’ drop rate is increasing. Some children are not sent to the school due to extreme  poverty.

 

The program gets funded by Pinnacle College, a private college led by successful educationists.

 

Interested funding agencies/individuals are requested to join hands with us to improve the quality of the community schools, and to serve the poor children in the area.
